the Goonies
The Goonies is a classic adventure-comedy about a group of kids from a small coastal town, Astoria, who call themselves “the Goonies.”
Facing the loss of their homes due to foreclosure, the kids—led by Mikey—discover an old treasure map in his attic. Believing it points to the long-lost fortune of the pirate One-Eyed Willy, they set off on a daring quest to find it. Along the way, they navigate a series of underground tunnels filled with booby traps, hidden passages, and riddles.
Their adventure becomes even more dangerous when they’re pursued by a family of criminals, the Fratellis, who are also after the treasure. Despite the risks, the Goonies rely on their friendship, courage, and cleverness to survive the journey.
In the end, the story is as much about loyalty and growing up as it is about treasure—showing that what they gain from the adventure is more valuable than gold.
MIKEY
The heart of the group. Mikey is optimistic, imaginative, and refuses to give up on saving his home. He’s the one who truly believes in the treasure and pushes everyone forward, even when things get scary.
BRANDON
Mikey’s older brother and the responsible one (or at least he tries to be). Brand often plays the protector, especially toward Mikey, but he also gets swept up in the adventure and loosens up along the way.
MOUTH
Fast-talking, sarcastic, and always cracking jokes. Mouth’s wit can get the group into trouble, but it also brings humor to tense situations. He’s clever and surprisingly resourceful.
DATA
The gadget genius. Data invents all kinds of quirky devices to help the group, though they don’t always work as planned. His enthusiasm and creativity make him a standout.
CHUNK
Chunk is lovable, clumsy, and always hungry. He’s known for his dramatic personality and the famous “Truffle Shuffle.”
ANDY
A cheerleader and Brand’s love interest. She starts off unsure but proves brave as the adventure unfolds.
STEF
Sharp-witted and sarcastic, Stef often rolls her eyes at the chaos but sticks with the group through everything.
THE FRATELLIS
Chaotic, bickering group of small-time criminals led by the ruthless Mama, whose cruelty contrasts with the hidden kindness of their outcast son Sloth.
Hello I’m Fred, I’m a french huge Goonies fan since the first time I watched the movie during my childhood in the ‘80s.
in 2002, I launched a website called « french goonies website » that became later « goonies1632.com » All I wanted was to share my archives and my passion about the movie,
In 2004 I had the great opportunity to travel from France to Astoria for the first time.That was amazing. I became friend with the Goonies house owner and I visited Astoria again in 2010 and twice in 2015. I stayed at the house every time. That’s my most beautiful memory, that was so magical to me.
The Goonies has always been very special to me and I still collect stuff or pictures I find online. I closed my website many years ago but I decided to re open it in 2026. Hopefully you will enjoy it :)
